To do so, 305 female students form a high school in Yazd were selected randomly through a cluster sampling. They answered Cooper Smith's standard questionnaires on confidence (tawkul) and self-esteem. The students' total grade of the students was the index of their academic achievement. The research is a descriptive–correlative one. The data were analyzed by such statistical indexes as Pearson's correlation and ANOVA. The research findings show that there is a significant relationship between all components of self-esteem (domestic, social, academic and general) and confidence in God (p<0.01). There is also a positive significant relationship between the academic achievement and confidence in God (p<0.01), but no significant relationship between academic achievement and confidence in God was noticed. Furthermore, the results of ANOVA test show no significant difference between the average scores of confidence in God and self-esteem among the students who took part in different courses. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی رابطه بین توکل بر خدا، عزت نفس و پیشرفت تحصیلی انجام شده است. بدین منظور از میان دانش آموزان دختر مقطع متوسطه شهرستان یزد در سال تحصیل 1389ـ1390، 305 نفر به صورت تصادفی و با روش نمونه گیری خوشه ای انتخاب شده و پرسش نامه های استاندارد توکل و عزت نفس کوپر اسمیت را تکمیل نموده اند. معدل دانش آموزان نیز شاخص پیشرفت تحصیلی در نظر گرفته شده است. طرح این پژوهش از نوع توصیفی- همبستگی بوده است. داده ها با شاخص های آماری، چون همبستگی پیرسون و تحلیل واریانس تحلیل شده اند. نتایج نشان می دهد که بین تمام مؤلفه های عزت نفس (خانوادگی، اجتماعی، تحصیلی و عمومی) و توکل بر خدا ارتباط معناداری وجود دارد (01/0&gt;p). همچنین رابطه مثبت معناداری بین پیشرفت تحصیلی و عزت نفس به دست آمده (01/0&gt;p)، اما هیچ گونه رابطه معناداری بین پیشرفت تحصیلی و توکل بر خدا دیده نشده است. علاوه بر این، نتایج آزمون تحلیل واریانس تفاوت معناداری را بین میانگین نمره های توکل بر خدا و عزت&shy;نفس در دانش آموزان رشته های مختلف نشان نمی دهد. https://ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/sites/ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_5.pdf
