The sample includes 14 male students from different departments in Tabriz University. They restated their values in an unprepared interview. The data were analyzed by a method proposed by Emmitt & et al. (1999). The variables obtained from this study are moral values, religious values, family values, social values, material values, national values, altruism, personal progress, helpfulness, expressing real self, self-respect and security. The research findings confirm the existence of favorable variables in the value system of PhD student in the society. Furthermore, they show that PhD students’ values are different from those proposed by the usual standards. Therefore, these standards lack the necessary efficiency for measuring the values of the aforementioned group. The obtained results can be useful for higher education system and for the institutes which need people holding higher education degrees. هدف پژوهش، که با روش پدیدارشناسی انجام گرفت، شناسایی ارزش ها در دانشجویان دوره‌ی دکتری و مقایسه‌ی آن با مقیاس های رایج و توضیح تفاوت های احتمالی بود. نمونه‌ی پژوهش، شامل 14 نفر از دانشجویان پسر گروه های آموزشی مختلف دانشگاه تبریز بود که طی یک مصاحبه سازمان نیافته ارزش هایشان را بازگفتند. تحلیل داده ها با روش امیت و همکاران (1999) انجام شد. متغیر های حاصل از مطالعه عبارتند از: ارزش های اخلاقی، ارزش های دینی، ارزش های خانوادگی، ارزش های اجتماعی، ارزش های مادی، ارزش های ملی، نوع دوستی، پیشرفت شخصی، مفید بودن، نمایش خود واقعی، احترام نفس و ایمنی. نتایج پژوهش بیانگر وجود متغیر های مساعد در نظام ارزشی دانشجویان دوره‌ی دکتری در جامعه است. همچنین این نتایج نشان می دهد که ارزش های دانشجویان دکتری متفاوت از ارزش های مطرح در مقیاس های رایج می باشد، بنابراین، این مقیاس ها کارآمدی لازم برای بررسی ارزش های گروه مذکور را ندارد. یافته های حاصل می تواند مورد استفاده‌ی نظام آموزش عالی و مؤسسات متقاضی افراد دارای تحصیلات بالا قرار گیرد. https://ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/sites/ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2_10.pdf
