To test the hypothesis, 382 teachers from two retraining centers for teachers in Tehran were selected randomly as the available sample. All subjects answered two questionnaires: “the GHQ-28 questionnaire for measuring general health” and “the measure of religious orientation”. Both measures enjoy an appropriate validity. Then the data were analyzed using Pearson’s Correlation, Statistical T-test and the Multi-variable Regression Analysis method. The results showed that among all main vari ables and the related demographic ones, only the variable of religious orientation is the most appropriate variable for predicting general well-being and mental health of the subjects. هدف این پژوهش، بررسی میزان تأثیر جهت گیری مذهبی بر سلامت روان و ابعاد آن در مقایسه با میزان تأثیر سایر عوامل جمعیت شناختی پژوهش است. برای آزمون فرضیه‌ی پژوهش، با مراجعه به دو مرکز بازآموزی معلمان شهر تهران در سال تحصیلی 85 ـ 86 تعداد 382 نفر از معلمان شاغل به تدریس به صورت نمونه‌ی در دسترس برگزیده شدند. همه افراد شرکت کننده به «پرسش نامه‌ی سلامت عمومی» (28- (GHQ و «مقیاس جهت گیری مذهبی» پاسخ دادند. هر دو مقیاس از روایی و اعتبار مناسب برخوردارند. سپس داده ها با روش همبستگی پیرسون، آزمون T مستقل و روش تحلیل رگرسیون لوجتیک مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. نتایج پژوهش نشان می دهد که از میان متغیرهای اصلی و جمعیت شناختی پژوهش، تنها مؤلفه‌ی جهت گیری مذهبی(کلّ) مناسب ترین متغیر برای پیش بینی سلامت روان افراد شرکت کننده در پژوهش می باشد. https://ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/sites/ravanshenasi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/36.pdf
