Abstract:
Using the "qualitative content analysis" method, this research was conducted with the aim of identifying the motivational components of supportive behavior and providing a model based on Islamic sources. For this purpose, the motivational concepts of supportive behavior were extracted from verses and narrations containing words related to supportive behavior in Islamic sources, and then the motivational components of supportive behavior were obtained from the analysis of these concepts. In order to evaluate the motivational concepts and the motivational components of supportive behavior in Islamic sources, the validity of the findings was examined based on the opinions of seven experts through the content rating questionnaire. The findings showed that the motivational components of supportive behavior are divided into three categories: cognitive components (perception of social responsibility, God's supervision of actions, God's compensation, return of good deeds to the doer and recognition of social duties), attitudinal components (reluctance to the world, desire for charity, not being afraid of poverty, kindness towards the distressed and fear of hell and longing for heaven) and behavioral components (selfless behavior, great kindness, benevolence and adherence to God's commands). Thus a motivational model of supportive behavior was presented for explaining the relationships between the components by benefiting from the narrations and studies done by Islamic thinkers. It was concluded that the cognitive and attitudinal components interact with each other and lead to the behavioral components.
