Abstract:
As one of the functions of marriage and family formation, sex makes husband and wife enjoy each other more and feel more intimacy and peace together. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of sexual skills training in the compatibility of couples. Semi-experimental research method and two-group research design (experiment and control) with pre-test and post-test are used. To conduct the research, 30 couples referring to one of Kerman's counseling centers were selected by convenience sampling and were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups (15 in each). The pre-test was given to both groups, and after seven sessions of sexual skills training for the experimental group, the post-test was given to both groups. "Marital compatibility" scale was used for data collection and the data was analyzed using covariance analysis. Findings show that sexual skills training is effective in the compatibility of couples.
