Abstract:
This paper seeks to investigate the educational consequences of Piaget's epistemology and its criticism based on Allameh Tabatabai’s point of view. The research method is documentary analysis. All sources and references on the thoughts of Piaget and Allameh Tabatabai have been reviewed. According to the research results, Allameh believed that, in very early childhood, innate and monotheistic epistemology facilitates education and guidance. However, Piaget, with his extreme attention to epistemology based on biology and zoology, neglected the importance of complete monotheistic knowledge. Piaget's epistemology has features such as genetic knowledge, material nature, neglecting the basic sovereignty of God in the process of acquiring knowledge, the limitation of the realm of knowledge to material foundations, Marxism, and neglecting religious and cultural foundations in the process of knowledge, which have been criticized according to Tabatabai's point of view. On the other hand, Allameh's epistemology has features such as emphasis on innate and intuitive knowledge, religiosity, and will power. Teaching beliefs and solid foundations, such as monotheism and faith (knowledge, emotion and performance), to children is what is lacking in Piaget's education and training. Therefore, Allameh Tabatabai's point of view has a richer and more comprehensive view of the education and training of learners due to its simultaneous attention to the material, spiritual, and monotheistic aspects of children.
